At Hermanos Alfaro, we specialize in the machining of technically demanding parts. We have state-of-the-art CNC machinery and qualified personnel to perform turning, milling, grinding and welding operations with maximum precision. Manufacture and repair of parts

We manufacture and repair all types of parts and components using precision machining, complemented by welding, extensive technical knowledge and 45 years of experience.

We add value through advanced knowledge and machinery, recovering parts and machine components with fast delivery times in order to reduce downtime for our customers.

We work with the most common materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, copper and technical plastics, as well as others that require greater know-how such as titanium and austenitic-ferritic steels such as duplex and superduplex.

A versatile production system allows us to machine everything from prototypes to medium series. Thanks to our CNC lathes and 5-axis machining centers, we can handle all types of machining on almost any type of material.

Turning

Our range of lathes offers the versatility to machine everything from medium series of small precision parts to large components.

We machine medium series using lathes with automatic bar feeders. We have turning centers adapted to manufacture short and medium series. These can also be complemented with CNC milling work.

We also have an 8,000 mm CNC lathe between centers for machining large structures such as propeller shafts.

Our machinery includes

1 Geminis lathe with a center distance of 8,000 mm and a swing of 1,200 mm, which allows for the machining of large parts with high precision.

2 Mori-Seiki lathes with automatic feeders. These are particularly suitable for the manufacture of medium series of revolving parts with diameters of less than 80 mm.

1 Mori-Seiki CNC turning center with 2 heads, motorized tools and automatic bar feeder. This allows the manufacture of complex parts as it combines turning and milling in a single machine. With a bar capacity of 80 mm, suitable for medium series, it allows us to machine parts up to 400 mm in diameter.

Four conventional lathes with up to 3 meters between centers and 600 mm swing, with motorized grinding tools.

Milling

In line with our turning machinery, our milling machines offer a range of machining options, as well as complementing lathe operations.

Using our milling machines and machining centers, we manufacture precision parts ranging from a few millimeters to 4 meters in length.

Our 5-axis machining centers enable us to machine precision parts with complex geometries and designs.

1 Mazak machining centre

5-axis tilting head and 3-metre table. Thanks to the application of CAD-CAM programs, we can machine complex contours and designs on 5 simultaneous axes, placing us at the forefront of the machining sector.

1 CMX machining centre and 1 high-precision Mori-Seiki

Particularly suitable for machining unique parts and milling revolving parts thanks to its fourth axis.

1 Lagun fixed bed milling machine

4 meters long, with a capacity for parts weighing up to 10 tones and equipped with a 4th axis. Specially designed for machining large parts such as molds, mechanically welded structures, engines, water pumps, etc.

1 MTE K2200 milling machine

With a 2-metre table and fourth axis, where we mainly carry out complementary operations such as roughing or keyways on shafts.

Grinding

Grinding is a process carried out in the final stages of manufacturing, using abrasive tools known as grinding wheels, which are used to adjust restrictive final measurements, improve surface finishes and remove very hard material.

All this, accompanied by dimensional checks on each of the parts, guarantees the finishes and tolerances requested by our customers in the quality required.

Precision Machining Projects

In addition to carrying out the above transformation operations, we usually take on projects that include several additional stages such as design, prototyping, reverse engineering, assembly or adjustment, in order to deliver complete projects to our customers.

Our experience and constant updating of manufacturing and design technologies, thanks to the involvement of our technical office, enable us to propose improvements, alternatives and complete solutions.

This allows us to recover assemblies through welding and machining, manufacture customized tools and fixtures, rebuild gearboxes, and manufacture discontinued items or prototypes that we can subsequently mass produce.

This advantage, due to our comprehensive design and manufacturing capabilities, allows us to have our own internally developed machinery (unique in the world) for on-site machining, as well as injection pipe flaring assemblies, fittings manufacturing tools, chip filtering systems and other assemblies that are only possible thanks to continuous R&D.
